The most important graph in the world has been updated to include the last 150,000 years! Here I’ve added the +0.5 W/m² average Earth’s Energy Imbalance from 1971-2020 from von Schuckmann et al…

It’s hard to grasp how much energy 1.4 W/m² adds. If this Earth’s Energy Imbalance is maintained for 20 years, that would add about 450 ZJ of heat to the Earth system. If all that additional heat melted land ice (hypothetical), global sea levels would increase by 3.5 meters!”
