Dr Masters wrote a two part series on CA super floods several weeks ago.  All that is needed now is a rain on snow event via an atmospheric river brought to us by the forecast El Niño.

Lou, that is an alarming scenario, and the snowfalls are pretty alarming in their own right!

A lot of things would have to happen just right to generate the super flood conditions, but the first thing has happened in spades.

Outrageously high snow fall - check.

Cool weather for a few more days

Warm or hot atmospheric river

BOOM - super flood!

We shall see!  💣
