6th June was a historic day in the United Arab Emirates. With 51.8C [125.2F] Swiehan tied the record of the highest temperature ever recorded in the country (same like Mezaira on 30 July 2017).

“On 9 January nearby station of Raknah recorded the country’s lowest temperature ever with -2.0C.”

Monsoon rains triggered floods and mudslides in Sri Lanka killing at least 16 people and leaving more than a quarter of a million homeless, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said Sunday.

Drought sickens baby salmon in Klamath River [Quebec]… According to the Yulock Tribal Fisheries Department, Klamath’s fish have been dying since around May 4.

“At that time, 97% of the juvenile salmon caught by the department’s Hanoi trap were infected Cerato Nova Shasta The parasites are either dead or they will die within a few days. In two weeks, 70% of the young salmon caught in the trap had died.”
